“Neither Yes, Nor No” – Red 2018

We have selected 2018 750mL bottles of red wine from Château Montdoyen.

At the opening, notes of roasting and cocoa are expressed, then, with aeration, violet, sweet spices such as nutmeg, ripe fruit and mentholated licorice.

In the mouth, the attack is frank with freshness and a nice sweetness. We find menthol, blueberry and a well-integrated woodiness. Then the power imposes itself, fiery on a tight frame like his youth. It is only after aeration for a few hours that the tannin becomes more docile and seductive.

A blend of Cabernets with a complex aromatic expression and the revealing power of long aging.

To taste it in these early years, it is strongly recommended to decan it a few hours before tasting to appreciate its true value.

This wine can be enjoyed with a wide variety of dishes: eggplant gratin, hare stew, wild boar stew, pheasant casserole, moussaka, spit-roasted chicken, grilled peppers, etc.

Grape varieties: 80% Cabernet Franc, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon.

Vinification: extraction by punching down, long vatting then aging in oak barrels for 14 months.
